The Steering Committee has discussed many administrative and financial aspects of the project, but have also made progress on planning and organizing the development of project results. Working groups have been formed for the activities of the project. Immediately after the meeeting, the Expert Group led by Carl Winslow starts working on the Practical guide for IBMT and the Guidelines for design of innovative scenarios and modules, while the Working group led by Blaženka Divjak starts working on the Project Impact Analysis.

Did you know that the Practical Guide on IBMT will contain information, advice and showcases on inquiry-based mathematics teaching that will support all teachers to implement such methods? It will also serve as an introduction to two well-developed theories: Realistic Mathematics Education and Theory of Didactical Situations. Moreover, no prerequisite knowledge about didactics from a scientific point of view will be necessary to use it.

Some partners from Denmark, Slovenia and the Netherlands have visited Zagreb and Croatia for the first time. They have met their old and new colleagues at the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Science. Working days have been long, but there was just enough time and energy to stroll through Zagreb's Christmas market. Exchange of experience about lectures, students and math continued over a typical Crotian dinner and left everyone enthusiastic about the beginning of the project.
